I'm in the minority I know but I love my running boards. I have a black/chrome theme though so they match nicely. I think a lot of people like them off because it gives the perception of the truck being taller. Since your truck doesn't have a grab handle on the driver side I would recommend leaving them on or you could wear out your leather seats by just sliding all over them. New leather for seats aren't a huge expense but I'd rather replace them later than sooner. I can't stand the look of worn out leather seats, makes the truck or car look abused IMO.

Well, decided to leave them on. Wife and kids preferred not to hop in. Neighbor said they complete the look.

If you have an office job, the running boards will make mess of your pants unless u use the boards to get in and out.

I took mine off the other day, and like "depami", left the bracket on the front for a step. Not sure if I'll leave them off or not right now. My wife hasn't seen the truck since I did it. I might have to bite the bullet, and say, "Yes dear"!

With me being 5'6" tall (short)....I have a long enough stride getting up in my truck with the running boards. I'd probably hurt myself trying to get in if I took them off .

I think your truck looks much better without the nerf bar. IMO, entry/exit is easier with the step than with the bar. How do you like the function of the simple step?

Thanks Denny! I like it, just a couple times in/out to get used to it. I have to be a bit careful right now, since I haven't had time to put a nonskid pad on it. That should be worked out soon though.
