Roof Leak

If you have a sliding rear window, there is a TSB on possible leakage too. TSB 13-5-15 - if you're taking it in for the brake light fix, might as well get this fixed too.

I am having the same problem on my 2010 F-150 my first Ford and I am unhappy with the fact that this many people have had the problem and there is no re-call, meanwhile I have seen recalls on much less from other dealers.

Just added a bead of silicone to my third breaklight prior to reading this. I feel a lot better now and more confident that I have found the correct source of the leak

Roof leaks present multiple challenges for home owners. They never occur at a time which is convenient and they can lead to significant damage to the interior of the house.Roofs that are leaking are usually easy to fix and there many services available to repair them easily.

stained
I fixed mine myself with 3m adhesive although the headliner is stained and tried to clean it with FW1 interior cleaner and a steamer, still stained, I may take it in and see what the dealer will do. I will have to pay the $100 deductible, although I may try to fight them on that.

Just found the same problem on my 2010 SCrew this morning while taking my daughter to school. Called the local affiliate dealer and just dropped it off. I guess the $3K I dropped there on repairs to my '08 F350 gets me into the frequent flier club and moves me to the front of the line.
I agree with the guys that have said this should be a recall issue, but I'm never surprised by what manufacturers try to get away with.

I took mine to an auto glass shop. The manager took the third brake light off, reseller with a bead of black sealant and re-seated it. Poured rain yesterday and no more leaks!!! He did that for free, so it was a no cost repair for me!!

I'm happy to hear your dealer was able to help super quickly! Were they able to give you a diagnosis already? Please send me more details including your odometer reading; I'd like to assist.

They immediately told me that it was the third brake light and they repaired it within an hour of me calling and at no charge. Of course shortly after they finished the rain stopped. It seems to me that the leaking was stopped after the repair but the next big rain will tell the tale. I was initially skeptical of the rubber grommets/strips that run over the top rear corners of the cab (how's that for a convoluted description?) but with one issue addressed it will be easier to identify if the situation is indeed solved or if the corner rubbers are failing. The truck has 71,000 km on it. It was an old guy's truck before so it's been very gently used. Much happier with it than with my 08 SDuty.

Sounds like everything is under control for now. If the concern persists, please send me a PM with your VIN, full name, best daytime phone number, and servicing dealer and I'll assess the next step.
