From the schematic of the http://home.comcast.net/~myers.brad/...naFordF150.pdf file in Appendix B, the relays are not doing anything. The switch is transferring all the current to both mirrors. This is fine as long as the switch is rated for higher than 10 amps. The instructions are very detailed and easy to follow , I just figured I would let you all know that relays are unnecessary.
This looks like a fun project and I'll look into it further! I'll post a less complicated schematic also.

masmith1553, I'd just like to say Wreck 'em.
I'm planning on retrofitting the Dodge flip outs on my 02. Just need to make a template of the factory mirror with mounting studs, then go to a pick-n-pull and see which series is closest. I have manual mirrors so there aren't any electronics to deal with. Does anyone know if the F150's with manual mirrors came plumbed for heated mirrors? Sure would like to upgrade to heated flip outs if the wiring is already there.

I would follow the directions exactly in the http://home.comcast.net/~myers.brad/...naFordF150.pdf, but this is how I would wire up the relays. This way the relays are transferring the current not the switch. I also added the 1N4001 diodes to the circuit to prevent any back lack voltage from the relay coils. This is not critical in this application, but I don't like having the chance of sending 300 Volts through my truck! If you use them make sure that the line on the diode faces the positive end of the coil, otherwise it will short out the diode before it blows the fuse!

A while back on the "power Folding Mirrors add-on" thread, I have a question, regarding the relay setup: what if I set it up this way, would it work ?
And take a look at the Electrical diagram from the factory, It lookslike they're only using one relay
Give me some feedback !
