But the $40k question is.... Would you pay the same price for a truck with a frame replacement that you would for one without? I wouldn't and I don't care who replaced the frame. It sounds like the truck the OP is referring to isn't that great of a deal to begin with.

Nope and just the fact that it was would be a very solid bargaining chip to get the price down. Would the quality of the vehicle or structural strength be compromised? No not one bit.

With that said, I would buy a truck with a new frame over one with a bent frame any day.

You are correct, I didn't think it was a good deal. Granted, the truck looks great judging by the pictures. Plus low mileage, which is one thing that was high on my list. The adobe/tan combo was exactly what I wanted.

Alas, it's water under the bridge. I bought a new 2016 XLT for the same price I would have gotten the 2014 Lariat. The only thing the Lariat has that my new XLT doesn't is leather seats. I love leather seats, but it wasn't a deal breaker to get a truck without them.

I hope so! It's got big shoes to fill in a way, I just sold my 2002 Lariat 4x2 that was one heck of a reliable truck. I drove that thing for 14 years.
