removing egr
i was wanting too know the correct way to remove/bypass my egr? i recently added an inline filter my pcv valve vacum line and i got to looking at egr and was wanting too know correct way to remove it? 02 f150 5.4

yes ive put the plate on and unhooked all lines to exhaust and vac line is capped. i have tuner and turned egr off. but do i unhook egr cylnoid and the other thing the rubber lines from exhaust went too? i ahd too turn off obd-ii test and mil code

OVERTHINKER
Plug the Vacuum hose, take the DPFE off [just leave the plug], and remove the bracket. If you deleted the ECR system in your tune the CEL should not have come on.

well how do i delete the ECR system in programmer? it has setting to turn egr off but thats it..says to use this setting when removing egr? what about sylenoid? remove it too and cap vac line?

so just turning egr with diablo programmer does nothing or i need a program that turns the whole system off?what about dpfe and sylenoid unplug...remove it? i figured out why truck has rough idle last night.. i added an iline filter too pcv line and filter has crack in it...funny stuff does anyone have a better idea then the inline filter?

if you turned it off with the programmer, it should be fine. as for the PCV stuff, just replace whatever is cracked.

would egr effect idle? as i stated above i removed it and put plate there and capped exhaust...i took IAV off yesterday and tried to clean it but now truck is idleing around 1k then it will all of the sudden drop too 600 then jump back up and down. i also installed a restrictor gasket when i reinstalled it? whats doing it?
