Default Removed "Sport 4x4" decal

I decided to remove the sport decal off the truck. After I did so, I can now see a yellow residue/stain in the clear coat of the paint. The yellow stain is the complete outline of the "Sport 4x4" decal. Note: this truck is white, so it's quite clear to see. Has this happened to anyone else??? What are my options of removing this stuff?

I tried wax and that basically did nothing. I will mention the yellow residue is not left over adhesive from the decal. It seems as though it may be in the clear coat. If I would guess, there was a chemical reaction between the adhesive and clear coat. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this on a white truck.

Clay bar or try a mild polish by hand with a clean Microfibre towel. Meguiar's Ultimate Polish can be had almost anywhere and is good stuff. Meguiar's Ultimate Compound is the next step up (more aggressive).

Unless you were using a cleaner wax, it wold do nothing to remove anything on the paint. Even a cleaner wax has very, very little correction ability and usually just contains chemicals to help remove contaminants.

If you post some good close up pictures, it also might help us point you in the right direction.

Thanks for all the suggestions fellas. I've tried Goo Gone, WD-40, Wax w/ cleaner and none of them worked. I talked to the dealership today and the head detail guy was on vacation. They're going to have me stop by next week to have him look at it.

I also removed the ecoboost badges from both doors, and the same yellow stains are noticeable in those locations.

So did you try clay bar? I'm sorry, a "head detail guy" is probably no more knowledgeable than us.
