Default My First F150

I apologize if I'm posting in the wrong place or violating the rules at all. I own a 2013 F150 3.5L. I have the stock 17x7.5 wheels and the stock tires. I'm planning to level it out and put larger tires.

First, what's the correct levelling kit to level it out? I've seen 2" up to 3".

Second, I'm not sure I can afford to get new rims yet, so what's the largest tire I can fit on my stock rims safely, assuming I level it? It's just a daily driver, but it looks a little wimpy stock.

Lastly, if I decide to get new rims, what do I need to look for? Backspacing? Size? Etc?

Again, thanks for bearing with me if I've posted inappropriately. I used to own a Wrangler and belonged to a few helpful forums, so I'm hoping this is much the same.

You're fine posting here my friend. There are sections of the forum that cover all of your questions. I'm not versed enough to advise you on any of your questions as I leave my trucks mostly stock. You could search the "2009 - Present" section of the forum for some answers. Just click on "Search this forum" on the top right of the forum page.

Congratulations, and welcome to the forum.

With 2" level I would not go more than 33" on stock wheels so 285/70/17 is good to go. Also I love my Nitto Trail Grapplers M/T.

Grats on new truck!

Thanks. That was quite helpful. I didn't even realize there was another set of sections in the forum.

Probably, but there is a reason it's tucked between the hospital and a medical supplies company.
