Default rear drum brakes

Ok so i just bought new rear drum breaks for my 1998 f150. replaced the old drum breaks because they were stock. I put the new ones in and now when i brake the truck shakes even on a casual light brake, and the brake peddle pulsates when you press down on it. i put all the springs back on correctly. Im pretty sure the rear drums aren't to tight after putting them on. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Did you have the drums turned? The shoes and hardware won't cause a pulsation or vibration, but the drum will.

Yea depending on how bad the drum is, putting a new shoe in there with the old drum will cause it to shake around.

Not 100% sure, but its something to do with the fact of a worn drum and a brand new shoe. I have had it happen to me, I replaced the drums and it went away.

The shake comes from the drum being out of round. new shoes have ZERO impact on the shake.
