Default Rear backup lights

I have noticed on my 2011 Lariat that the backup camera, at night is worthless.
I tried to get the dealer to defect it, it's a CPO vehicle, but they said it was normal. Even with the brake light it is difficult to see backing up my driveway at night.

I've seen and read about the Rigid kits that Stage 3 Motorsports and TAP auto and others sell.

Any opinions on the best setup?
I thought of a flush mount, but I have a chrome bumper so would probably be better served by the under hang style.
I would like them to be waterproof as well for trailers get the boat on and off.

TIA

Can't go wrong with rigid, I have the ranch hand rear bumper that has cut outs and have kc led lights that help out a lot. There not as bright as a pair of rigid duallys but they were really easy to install since the cut outs were already there lol. I may add some rigid duallys as well later.

Rigid industries SRM kit.
I put them on the tow bar there were 2 holes already there. It was meant to be. The reason I got then was for backing up in the dark roads and camping.

I didn't flush mount - I want to retain ability to aim!

I used the switch provided it's great. You can wire it so it is ON-OFF-AUTO (comes on with back up lights)
Which is really great feature.

You can probably piece together something for cheaper but I wanted the kit.

I added a pair from Amazon $22. bucks. 1800 lumes each , mostly for backing up when I'm plowing at night. I made a stainless shield to go behind the light to stop the road debris from hitting it and filling the fins with salt/sand/snow.

Got these little guys for 20$ with the harness(just had to add a relay to make them click with my reverse lights) from Princess Auto(the Harbor Freight equivalent in Canada). Love them!!

I originally added the strip of white LEDS, but they didn't do much. These things are awesome.

For my other truck, I had a single round LED I made a short upright pole that mounted to a receiver and slide in the hitch. It had a plug and half of the plug was wired to the reverse lite. But many times I wanted to use the lights without the truck in reverse. SO this time the lights are on a switch in the cab.

My 2011 emblem mounted camera is useless in full dark situations. I added two 3" led cubes as others have done. Still not perfect but an 80% improvement. I have photos in another thread.
I was in a friend's 2014 yesterday, that camera is perfect at night. Ford must have come out with a better camera. Maybe bug the dealer about the info for a part number ?
