Default RAPTOR WHEELS VS stock 17x7.5

anyone know if or how much more stock raptor wheels will make my tires stick out vs the stock 17x7.5 rims i have now?

im doing a raptor body conversion of my 2006 scab and will need rims that stick my wheels out a couple inches each side further than stock.

should i just go aftermarket?

The raptor wheels on my 08 scab stick out 1/2" past the stock flares. when my tire was flat and i had the spare on you really realized how much more they stick out then stock wheels. my raptor rims are on 285's but if you put 315's on it will stick out further. I don't have a straight on pic but you can kinda tell that the wheels have a wider stance on the side pic.

This will give you what you want. These are 285-70-17's on aftermarket wheels that stick out the same as my 2012 Raptor wheels with the same 285's on them.

Here is the Raptor wheels that i replaced the others with thanks to member Pat247.

i dunno, once i install the raptor fenders the front and rear fender wells will be about 6 inches wider than stock f150. by the looks of it, your raptor /aftermarket wheels only stick out about same as my 315/70/17s on stock rims do now.

Yep,and that's why a Raptor front end and rear end is wider than a regular F150.The thing that will be hard on parts is the offset your going to need, and trying to use wheel offset to get it.I'm afraid you'll end up replaceing wheel brgs. and ball joints very frequently after you do that. The extra offset will increase side load on those parts 10 fold. With the wider front end and rear end of the Raptor, and useing a stock offset wheel
Ford made the Raptor so it had very little side load on the wheel brgs. like a stock 150.

I hate digging old threads up, but I was wondering if anyone else has put Raptor rims on a standard F150 lately. I just found a set and need to buy some tires now. I have the chrome package on my F150 S-cab now so I am running the stock 275-65-R18s that came on it.

My other Question is can I use the TPMS' from the 18s on the Raptor rims/tires? I will put a 2" HBS or readylift leveler on it, so rubbing shouldn't be an issue if I stay under 315's? I dont think I want them to stick out too far past the fender flares. I will also get a flash tuner to adjust the speedo also.

Thanks

I put mine on about a month ago. Yes you can reuse those tpms, I'm running 285/70R17's with a 1.5 level. They don't rub, they stick out about 3/4"-1" past the truck.. I don't have fender flares though. You may have some minor trimming to do with 315's even with a level.

Here's my 11' scab

Thanks crazyone, I might try going to a 295 width. Most everyone goes with a 2" level, why did you go 1.5? It looks pretty level to my eye with the 1.5.

Default Raptor wheels on 2016 2.7 ecoboost

I have a 2016 eco XL. Looking at replacing steel wheels with the raptor wheels. The raptor wheels feel a little heavier than the stock steel wheels. Any issues with this? Thanks
