Default Problems with Ecoboost

I was all set to pull the trigger on a 2015 with ecoboost until I ran across this. Now I need to do some more research and re-evaluate my decision.

Wow.....thanks for the heads up. I think you need to buy a 2015 F250 Super Duty Platinum with the Powerstroke.

Hey.....do you know any good real estate agents in Southern California?

While I have a v8 by choice, there's nothing wrong with the vast majority of ecoboosts in whichever size and car they are in. Do they have problems? Sure, but so does any other mass produced machinery.

Here's a hint I learned in the military-----quit worrying about what every Tom, Dick, and Harry say. Look for yourself. If you aren't comfortable with a "what if", well then you might want to get a coffin. Life is full of "what if's". That's what a warranty and ESP are for.

Perception and reality are turning out to be two completely different things with the ecoboost.

Mine has been flawless. I don't know if I could go to anything but an ecoboost once your use to it. There is not another 1/2 truck engine on the market that can match it...

I agree w/ Snobdds -- there isn't another 1/2 ton powertrain that would my wants and needs like the Ecoboost does. The great majority of us have had zero problems. But you can take the word of some random guy on the internet if you want ...

(acknowledging the irony here, 'cuz I'm also just some random guy on the internet ...).

I wish he had explained how changing the head fixes this.

It sounds more like a fuel injector control issue.
