Default Best way to improve gas mileage

I'm getting 14 mpg. With my v8 5.0. I'm thinking of adding some upgrade performance parts. And I added a Lucas injector cleaner to the gas today.
Thanks

Only 2 weeks with the same motor, and a light foot, averaging 19. Very pleased. Adding a tonneau this week, hopefully help a bit.

with the body/motor combo, gonna go ahead and assume its 4x4, you wont get much more than that

my buddy has a 94 bronco w/302 (keep in mind thats short wheelbase) and is getting 14-16 without going over 2500 much 100% percent stock, just replaced the plugs, oil, cap, rotor, and plug wires, and ran some sea foam (he was getting 10-12 before this) alos keep in mind the plugs were long over due and cap rotor and wires were original from 94'

in my 91 Mustang i was only getting about 10-12, but was modified and driven a litter harder

but as it has been said, your bess mpg improvement will be your right foot

I would do exhaust and a K&N drop in filter, new plugs, cap, rotor, and wires, and change the oil and run sea foam (1/3 in the oild then change it in 20 miles, 1/3 in brake booster vacuum line, 1/3 in gas tank)
