Just because its a platinum does'nt mean it's a great truck! I'd love to have my 2010 xlt 5.4 back. At least it was reliable. The only thing i like better is the traction control, don't think its because its a platinum just improved a little over the 10. After the lies an BS from ford an 2 dealership's over this lemon might be the last f150 i own. Next fall im def driving an pricing other model's.

I guess I'm different. I'd want a 4x4 that I could actually get dirty. The first time I'd actually use 4x4 and scratch up the pearl paint would bug me. Don't get me started about the mud in the interior.
The luxury pack on the FX4 is about as high as I could bare to have and still use the truck as a truck. Might as well get an Audi or Cadillac wagon if I'm looking for luxury and space to haul some stuff. Just my opinion of course! Not hating on anyone's purchase. My best friend and his dad are the same way. His truck bed is still immaculate after a year though...kinda makes me wonder. haha

The wife and I are going shopping Friday. As much as I love the Pecan color interior and upgraded wood trim on the Platinum, I can't stand the wheels, tailgate, grill and chrome accent down the sides.
I would love the Limited but that plastic medallion they put in the center armrest just looks uncomfortable to me. I prefer my arm rest on leather than some gaudy looking piece of plastic.
Guess I'll save a few dollars and buy a loaded Lariat.
To each their own, enjoy your Platinums!
