Default Painting Ford Emblem

Hey guys I'm wanting to black out my ford emblems on the grille and tailgate. I've seen people using plastidip to do it but it scares me painting them while there still in the truck. I know everyone says it just peels off but just want some more reassurance before I do them. Not sure if I even wanna do plastidip might use flat or a gloss black on the ovals. Also I know the round ford part comes off but wonder if the back piece does also so I could paint them off the truck? Truck is a 2013 FX4. Thanks guys!

So... Everyone says it just peels off... but you want more assurance? Ok. It peels off. Feel better?

I dont think the 2013 have the two part Ford ovals. But someone with a 2013 may be able to provide more accurate input (I thought it was the 2014 and higher)

There was a guy that will paint the ford logo and such different colors on another site I seen way back. If interested let me know and I'll look it up.

i just did mine with plastidip. just mask off the area around it and it will peal off with ease.

I wonder what kind of paint this is? I really like the looks of how he did his emblems.

Am I the only one who thinks a solid black oval on a truck looks like shet?

super simple. just tape off and put newspaper behind it if youre worried. let fully dry, then you can start peeling with a toothpick or something

Do you have to cut around the Ford lettering with something before peeling, or will the plastidip separate at that seam by itself?
