Default Okay, lets try this again....

First off, I have to say, I really appreciate all of your guys help.... and yes, I do get myself pretty worked up sometimes over "little things" like wheels :-) LOL But please don't let me drive you guys crazy, the way I do myself sometimes :-)

Anyway, after a good night of sleep, AND some good thinking by 'Nashtruck', I have actually had to step back and reevaluate the whole direction I'm going here....

Okay, I have explained how I am going for the "outdoors'y, tough look... the stone green paint (not really green, but I still think it looks awesome) and no chrome anywhere (completely blacked out) and my Mossy Oak Shadow Grass kick panels to match my truck, right ?
Alright well, I'm the first to admit, my styling idea would look GREAT, on a big, lifted, 4wd, with 35" tires, all kinds of beefed up suspension, yada, yada....
But for my purposes, that is completely out of the question. I need fuel economy, and functionality "on the street".
None the less, I think I had let myself get pulled into the other direction with wheels > big wheels, wide, low profile tires.... You know, like a straight up "inner-city street cruiser".....
But come on ! How well would that go with my styling idea ??? Probably not very well, huh ?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, here we are. Now I'm thinking that maybe even the stock 17's or 18's would look okay, so long as they are blacked out {as a temporary thing, even just scotch brighted and sprayed with satin black might suffice). Only thing is, the 17's that are going to come on it, are the "chrome clad" steel {almost impossible to paint} so if I'm going to do anything with the wheels that are on it, I need to take care of that by > tomorrow morning < when we put in the order for the truck !
Anyway, now that I'm back on track, any new opinions ?
Thinking about these again, they are definately not "pretty boy" wheels > http://hazmatoffroad.com/store/index...roducts_id=331
They are really inexpensive.... and available in 17's. The Caps are seperate, so maybe available in black... But can't find a 6 x 135 bolt pattern :-(
Maybe not these anyway..... I dunno.
But then which wheels ?
Do you think I should scramble to get those stock chrome clad steels switched out, for any other stock wheel which can be shot black later ?
Thanks very much again, for baring with me here :-)
Tell the dealer that you want the rims off of a XL truck insted of the chrome ones, they should be more than willing to swap them out for you.
The xl rims shoudl take paint just fine.
Actually the chrome is removable. They are just stuck on to the plain steel wheels.
