No grab handles on driver's side?

Ha ha yeah no doubt. It would be nice to have one on the driver side so when ya turning the wheel hard rights or left, you can keep your balance and keep from being thrown over on the passenger side...LOL. The 250s and other models have them on both sides.

I think the idea is to keep both hands on the wheel, lol! What year did they add them to 250s? 01 or 02 350 didn't have one.

I just purchased a grab handle at the wrecking yard for $5. It was attached with 2 sheet metal screws from the factory. I flipped it over and drilled 2 pilot holes on the drivers side and screwed it into place. I'm a 245 lb man with arthritis and the steering wheel on my 2000 F-150 was not working as a lift device. This retrofit works.

My uncle has a 2008 F250 and he has them on both sides. Also a guy here at work has a 2012 F250 he has them on both sides too. So not sure what year they added them on both sides in the 250.

I have the assist handle on my work truck, a 2011 Ram and I never use it. I am a pretty big boy, and use the steering wheel for balance, not to tug on. Left hand on the top of the door panel, left foot on the running board, then I swing my fat butt in. Just always did it that way I suppose. Another method would be the Dukes of Hazzard entry method, but I'd have to give up chicken wings to fit through the window. And Brother, that just ain't gonna happen!

A friend of mine has a 2012 FX4 crew and we went riding around yesterday. I noticed that he had running boards so I asked why he had purchased them because I was pretty sure his previous 07 Lariat didn't have them? He told me that they are necessary to get into the truck. He said without the driver's side grab handle that ford deleted on the current body style you need the running boards to hop up into the truck!! So not only did ford delete a helpful part that you didn't have to pay for (cost savings), but they made it necessary to buy running boards (cost $635).

Exactly, thought they were pretty much standard equipment. Never seen a truck without them and see a few guys on here talk about removing them for some dumb reason.
In other news I got an f350 6.7l diesel a couple weeks ago, it's got a drivers side grab handle and I haven't used it yet. Just used to the 150 not having one I guess, lol!
