New Titan

I don't see the market for the new (mid duty) Titan.
It's capability's are only on par with current 1/2 ton offerings. The Titan's big selling point seems to be it's baby Cummins diesel, which automatically makes it a 50,000+ dollar truck. Those who are looking to maximize capability can get any select Ford, GM or Dodge 3/4 ton diesel for that price, have twice the capability with similar levels of luxury.
I don't see exactly what the new Titan is trying to accomplish. Nissan has always made one kind of truck really good...Simple and cheap, AKA Hardbodys. Even the original Titan was pretty decent for what it was...But this new one...I don't know about it.

Holy Haters... I for one don't mind it at all. If the Titans reliability is anywhere near my other Nissan and Infiniti vehicles I'll be all over it. All I do is change the oil in my Nissan and Infiniti. No cam phaser, knocking, sputter and every other related problem. Why do so many Ford owners think every other truck maker stole its looks from the F150? I for one am not a fan of the 2015 styling...and the Titan looks a lot better.

I checked it out at Nissan's website, was impressed, and then just for laughs searched their local inventory. Found out that the truck IS ONLY offered with a 5.7 foot bed..NO 6.5' and NO 8' beds are offered. That's a "I would never buy one" for me.
Personally, I have to have at least a 6.5' bed or it don't work for me (Sorry all you crew cab owners with the small 5.5' bed; Why even buy a truck? Lol). Apparently, they don't even offer a "Supercab" option.

The looks of this truck are a subjective opinion.
The weight of it, and the mpg. are not opinions, but objective facts.
So if you like a truck with a combined 17.7 mpg, and a curb weight of of about 7,000#+, this one is for you.

0 to 60 in 9.2 seconds. Nice. Plenty of room for performance mods.

Just FYI, the 2015 Eco isn't.
Take your pick for top speed, even though I have no idea why it matters.
But you have to admit that comparing the Eco to the Titan on 0 to 100mph is really funny.

One thing I really like about it is if your pulling or hauling something heavy you can adjust the headlights not to blind people. I have air ride so that's not a issue anymore and one of the reasons I added it with these oem hid lights.

Adjustable headlights have existed in Europe for decades, never understood why it didnt make it over here more.
As for the Titan, if it's really built "HD", maybe it will be a more stable tower at the limit, even if the limit itself isnt a lot more than a F150?

Beer, Boats, and Trucks.
I don't think the new Titan looks anything like the F150... I mean the F150s actually look good!

So I'm sure that a Supercab will work it's way into the mix somewhere along the lines. The new 5.6L V8 makes about the same power figures the current 5.7L Hemi does, but lets not forget this XD is a HEAVY truck, so any potential performance gains that engine might yield will be watered down by it's 7,000lb curb weight.
