Default new plug wires?

I have a 1999 f 150 with the little 4.6L. i put msd plugs in it this weekend and now its trowing 2 coads in the bank 1 and 2 cadilatic converters . it telling me that it is to lean. it has all new fuel componets but im thinking its a fuel to air problum am i right or has any one elese had this ware they can help me out thanks~

sounds like you are on the right track thinking that the improved spark is leaning it out a bit? Could there be some sort of restriction on the amount of fuel getting in?

it could be something like that but like i said i only put new plug wires in it. I went and talked to a ford tech and he didnt have a clue untill he could dive in to it for 180 though. and theres nothing pluging the fuel lines couse i did a fuel pressure test and its good

Try putting your old wires back on it and clear the codes to see if they come back.

I actually heard from the only mechanic I trust to do my big repairs that in some Fords the spark plugs double up as a sensor dealing with exhaust. For repairs I only use MotorCraft parts. They're a little high but you know that it's the right part for your truck instead of something designed to fit your truck. I suggest buying MotorCraft plugs from some parts house (b/c cheaper than the dealer) and use them it'll clear the codes.

yeah I agree with above post - I've heard lots and lots of guys tell people to stay with the OEM plugs on Ford Trucks
