Default New Headlights

Just wondering if any of you guys have installed aftermarket headlight bulbs in your Ford's? I just purchased an 08 FX2 and only thing I am a little dissappointed in is the brightness of the headlights/fog-lights. I have never put aftermarket headlights in a vehicle so just wondering what any of you have tried and liked. Dont really want the over-the-top blue tint fake HID look but just a real bright light would be great. Is PIAA the best way to go or any suggestions. Thanks

Silverstar's makes a little brighter bulb but eventually I'm going to go with an HID system from retrosolutions, they make some good kits and help with the glare of HID's

Aye, I was intending on putting new bulbs in my truck due to blackout covers I'm going to be installing shortly, but just wanted new bulbs, not a new kit. You say Silverstar's are good?

They are better but last time I checked they don't make the Ultra's for our trucks, which are a good bit better than stock.

All I keep hearing about is PIAA bulbs. Are these what they are made out to be for the price of around $75 a pair?

Considering you can get a basic HID kit for around that I would have to say no.

Yeah I'm gonna wait and see how much the headlights blackout covers dim the lights and if need be, I'll install a HID but considering I live in the city, don't really need exceptional bright lights....

HID's look great, but I have NEVER seen a full HID kit for that cheap. The cheapest kit that I have found has been around $400. Am I looking at the wrong thing? Feel kinda stupid now!
