Arrow

I just replaced the GOOD-FOR-A-YEAR SRA's on my wife's truck with the AT3's. I've got them on my truck, and no issues.

HOWEVER, my son went out last week to put on his summer tires, which are COOPER CS4's and it had a bulge in the sidewall !!!

He took it to the dealer, so we will see how it comes out.

I have Cooper AT3's on my 95 Wrangler. They were a marked improvement over my previous set of tires. They were great in the winter and reasonable in the warmer weather. From what I can see they wear really well. I would buy them again in a second.

Thanks! I will have to check out the At3's. never considered them
only Duratrac & BFG KO's because I've had them before.

Duratracs are much better than my KO's were..
MAXXX cooper looked like a step up from At3's..

checked DT,
they suggested;
Nitto-Terra G2
or GY Duratracs and toyo a/t II's

the G2, looked slightly more aggressive than the stock GY tires.

with the STOCK Wheels.
Should I just stay with the
275/65/18 ( and possibly some 1.25-1.5 Bora spacers )

or would it look nicer with;
285/65/18 ( might not need spacers )

Thanks
Marc

I'll second that after my latest experience with them. Duratrac side wall failure at 40,000 miles on a 3 year old tire with at least 10,000 miles of tread left on tire.

I decided to go with the Nitto Trail Grappler M/T's as my next tire since they have a thicker sidewall.

Yep, wife's grand prix had a set that only went 30k. Wore like ****, loud, and dry rotted all to hell. Friend of mine had the exact same tires on a corolla, and had the same issues, along with a blow out. The wranglers that came on my truck were COMPLETELY shot at 25k.
Never again.

Default Nitto G2, Toyo A/T II, or Cooper A/T3

hi all, thanks again.
sticking with stock size 275/65/18

now I have narrowed it down ( getting something between today and the weekend, depending on stock )
Nitto terra G2
[B]At/3 ( load c ) ( I dont really need a load E tire )
toyo a/tII

Nitto's are probably the lightest of the 3, I am guessing and look the least aggressive for off-road or snow/rain..

the duratracs I have them on my Jeep no issues with them but I only drive about 2K Miles a year....but I'll be driving my truck more highway ( some off roading ) and winter snow of course.

Again, thanks for all the help!

I would seriously vote on the chevy. That is the exact story for me with 4 different chevy trucks I have owned over the years.

And with all tire brands too.

One of many reasons there is a 2006 Ranger and 2014 F-150 in my garage.
