Default Invitation: Live Streaming Event with Ford F-150 Chief Engineer

Who: Chief Engineer Matt O'Leary and Truck Marketing Manager Doug Scott
What: New 2009 Ford F-150 Product Briefing
Where: Ford Allen Park Test Labs – 1500 Enterprise Drive, Allen Park, MI
When: Thursday, Sept. 18 from 1:30-4:00 p.m.
How: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/f150-forum and http://qik.com/event/341/f150-forum

I’d like to invite the members of F150Forum.com to a live F-150 web event. It’s experimental for us and we are looking for as much feedback from truck fans.

You’ll get a chance to ask questions through Ustream’s and Qik’s chat features, but if you would like to submit questions ahead of time, just send them over today.

What you can expect to hear and see?
1. Ustream- A main presentation on what’s new with the F-150 as far as payload capability, trailer towing and fuel economy.
2. Qik - shorter snippets of walking tours through the extreme heat/cold rooms, high altitude testing area, solar testing, and the 2-3 day cycle lab.

Any questions, please contact me. My name is Veronica Giggey and while I just joined your forum, my company, Social Media Group is working on helping Truck fans connect with Ford.

Thanks to everyone who was able to make it today. Let me know if there is anything you'd like to add.

If you missed it or simply want to take a look again, go to the archive here:

Doesn't look like anyone did. I would be willing to bet it wasn't worth the time. From what I can tell it doesn't look like they were answering questions about problems with truck prior to 2009 which would be a huge turn off for me.

Hi guys, the average number of people watching the event was in the high 30's. The chat room was active, and from the feedback I have gathered in other communities it was worth their time. The first couple videos of the archive have responses to questions in the chat room, if you want to take a look. Some of the specific ones that were answered were around pricing, EcoBoost, SYNC and gas mileage.

That being said, exitwound, you are correct in that the focus was on the 2009 model and what was new this year, so unlikely they would have touched on your questions around previous years problems. At least not directly.

If you do have questions, why don't you post them here and I'll circle them back and see if I can get you any answers.

This is a two year old thread. Any big news that they talked about is probably known by everyone now.
