Default Nerf bar steps are slippery

I'm sure I've seen it on the forum, and just don't know the right search terms...

I have 5" westin oval nerf bars, stainless, with the black steps. Those steps get really slippery when they get wet.

Is there a paint/spray/tape/etc that I can apply to those steps to help with that?

Skateboard grip tape works as well.

Thanks for the suggestions. I found those in some google searches, have been debating them.

Anyone know of anything I can spray on instead of tape by any chance? Or mix and paint on? I think that might be better/look better than tape?

You could pretty much use any type of non skid paint or bed liner coating like Herculiner

If you go spray on follow the instructions closely for surface preparation.
