What happened to regular cabs and 5 speeds?
There are only two things I really look for in a truck, a manual transmission and a regular cab.
Well, you can't get ANY full size truck with a manual transmission anymore, so that sucks.
As for regular cabs, they're almost extinct as well. Not a single dealer in my area has a regular cab new F150 on the lot. I can only find about a dozen in my entire state, and of those, not a single one is a 4x4 (which I've decided my next truck has to have).
What gives? I was just coming to terms with the fact that I will never be able to buy a new full size truck with a manual transmission, and now I have to deal with the fact that I'll probably never find a regular cab 4x4 either. Bummer.

You can still get a 2010 F250 Regular Cab 4x4 with the 6speed standard transmission. As far as the F150 goes you can always order one, no standard transmission though.

Really! That's awesome. Back to the Ford site I go to build my truck. Something tells me that configuration will be VERY hard to find... I hate to order a truck because I've never paid MSRP for anything, but I might have no choice.

Vehicle design is drawn by what the most people want to buy. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to include reg cabs and manual transmissions anymore. Like stated above though I have seen that combo in the 250. A buddy has a manual trans reg cab and the big diesel... Bad *** Truck!

Dodge still has them too I guess but who the hell wants a dodge?
2010 is the last year for the 6 speed standard transmission and regular cab in the Super Duty so you better go order it now. 6 speed + PSD = Awesomeness.

You know, those are the same 2 things I look for in a truck...It's disappointing that the option for a manual is completely gone, and the option for a decent regular cab is very limited. I'm glad I got one of the last regular cab, 5-speed F-150s ever.
A regular cab, 5-speed, PSD F-250 would be friggin BAD ***! Kinda wish I'd have thought about that before buying my 150, hahaha.

I've special ordered my last 3 Fords, and never paid close to list. The first two, I used the Costco Auto Buying program. My current Lariat I got at dealer's invoice, about $400 less than the Costco price.
New Orleans has more Ford dealers than Vegas, shop, shop, shop!

I always order my trucks. That way I get only the options that I want. Unfortunately my next one will not be an F-150. No more manual transmissions will force me to go with a 250.
