There are 2 options, 2 wheel drive (rear) and 4 wheel drive, that is all.

its rear wheel drive at least. you can check your vin (https://www.f150forum.com/vindecoder.php) or look under your truck for a transfer case...

Tow rating depends on the engine, and rear gearing in the truck. The ecoboost will tow more than the 5.0. Ex. My 2013 5.0L V-8 2 wheel drive Platinum with 3.31 gears is rated to tow up to 8500 pounds. You can check the tow ratings at www.ford.com.

The benefits of the two wheel drive is it does have a slightly higher tow rating. Look at it this way, if you're not sure you need a 4 wheel drive, you probably don't. IMHO

Do you have the e-locker? It looks like a 4WD **** to the right of the steering wheel on the dash. If not you probably have a limited slip rear end. You should be fine pulling the boat out without slipping too much. Tires will have a lot to do with it as well.

All depends upon the boat ramp & tide
I have seen plenty of boat ramps I would not try at low tide w/ 2WD

You should use 4wd only when your pulling a boat out of the water, 2wd when your towing on city/highways.
