My first truck - Need Advice
#11
I have a 2013 Appearance package and I though it was only a V8 or TT 3.5L option.

Thanks for all the advice guys, still undecided though. First test drive's were a 3.5 Eco and a 2.7, GMC's V8 and 6 after that. Seems like I compare the power of the Eco to everything. Going to try the N/A V6 this week I hope I can make a decision after.

Don't drive the most powerful truck and then the weakest on the same day.
It totally screws your perception up completely. Drive the N/A V6 only on a day that they have one equipped how you will buy it.
Don't fall for the bait that dealers try to get you to drive the $60,000 blinged out biggest costing truck. They know when you step DOWN into the lower model you will just wrinkle your eyebrows and they get their hooks in you.
That 300hp V6 is the same power out put that premium edition light duties had not that long ago. When people say "It won't be enough" they're full of poo.
The new F150 , I see no reason to go above the XLT by the way it's laid out. I think they're very very nice, and I opted for the Fx4 only for the stripes and blackouts and special ed interior.

Yeah, they tried that with a Lariat I wasn't a fan though. The FX4 / FX2 is what actually got me interested but I don't think its an option with the 2015.
I'm going to look for a N/A V6 this week.

The 2.7, 5.0, or 3.5 will work for what you are wanting to do. I would love to say what you should look for, but it's not that simple. Find a few trucks that are set up the way you want with the different engines. Drive them all the same day. Which ever one makes you smile the biggest, go for it. Lol. I like the sound of the V8 and the performance is far and above what these trucks were 5 years ago. It has all the power I need and gets the mileage I need. Good luck.
