Default Muffler???

Have a 1999 f150 with the 5.4. I want to put a muffler on but don't know what the best choice would be. I want a deep tone while idling but an aggressive acceleration. Any suggestions? Ive looked into get the flowmaster super 44.

A straight through muffler would be my vote. A Borla, Magnaflow, or Dynomax would fit the type of sound you're looking for.

I have a straight thru magma flow on my 2000 f150 5.4 an it's rumbley but surprisingly quiet. I like it a lot.

I agree with everyone here. I had flowmasters on my 1981 f 150 but I cut them off. I've always been a magnaflow guy. I have a 2003 f 250 with headers straight in to dual magnaflows. It's got a classic rumble at idle that's just loud enough to be non obnoxious. But step on the gas and they really come through. Free flowing mufflers on a straight through design can't be beat IMO
