Default Misfire or transmission failure???

My truck started jerking a few weeks back and the engine light came on, went to autozone they checked with their computer and it said misfire no2, I was told to change boot and possibly spark plug. I decidided to change all the plugs and to cut a long story short had to remove head due to broken plugs, everthing went back together and the truck was running better than ever for a few days, then yesterday while on the freeway i decided to give it some juice but as i put the pedal to the floor (while doing about 55mph) it seemed to do nothing and was not excelerating, then it started jerking again and losing power, then the power would come back, then go... it seems to jerk the most when im going along and hardly touching the pedal i have to kind of give it a little juice then back off then gradually give it some more
I just dont know what it could be, I have no engine light on, I tried unplugging coils one at a time but when removed them they each made the engine run slightly worse. One other important point is that when stationary the engine runs fine, no spluttering or jerking it only seems to be when im driving hense could this be a transmission issue now?
Please help!

I had an injector go bad on my '10 4.6 but my CEL came on and remained on.

Plus, it was real obvious something funky was going on.

The symptoms you describe don't sound like a tranny prob to me.

No still not fixed, it did burn almost half of one of the new plugs I put in which I replaced and it's had been running fine until yesterday now it's spluttering again but only if I drive hard. I just have no clue how to solve this problem but I now know it wasn't the tranny

Well so far so good I actually replaced the spark plugs and things are going great for now. My buddy did say next up would be the coils if new spark plugs didn't work. Thanks for the info.
