Question Melted EVAP lines?

My check engine light came on in my F150 during my recent trip across the US. I took it to a AAA car care center once I got to my destination on the east coast.

After running diagnostics, they called me to tell me that the EVAP lines were melted onto the exhaust.

They are going to notify me on monday as to how much it will cost and the procedure to take.

Is this a serious problem? Anyone had this done before? Know how much I should expect to cost so I don't get robbed?

Thanks!!

If the only problem you have is melted lines then the cost shouldn't be too high, just make sure they route the new lines away from the exhaust. You'll have more in labor than parts.

Umm shouldn't that come under the warranty?

Um I'm not sure about the warranty. And thank you for the info ANT2010. Hopefully it won't be too expensive.
