I wonder if this thread here took place on a GM truck forum, if they would say Ford fanboys are the worst ? Nah.

Confirmation bias:

Confirmation bias is the tendency for people to (consciously or unconsciously) seek out information that conforms to their pre-existing view points, and subsequently ignore information that goes against them, both positive and negative

http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias

It works with any brand substituted in, fanboys are fanboys. Pickup trucks attract the worst.

The only thing all those quotes that you posted prove, is that the people hating on Gm faboys seem to be extremely angry over something extremely stupid. In their attempt to show how bad Gm fanboys are, they've made themselves look like idiots. You didn't notice that aspect of it though. You were too busy nodding your head and feeling superior.
Again, you fail. You are bringing up confirmation bias in the wrong context because you're pathetically desperate to win an argument. Confirmation bias didn't collectively take place in that Motortrend thread. Its a Motortrend forum. This isn't a case of a Republican only watching Fox news. Foolish attempt to discredit my previous post. If you want to see real confirmation bias and idiocy, look at how you respond to me. You only respond to very specific parts of my comments and ignore others. Fitting for the amount of delusion and hypocrisy you exhibit.

most younger guys around my area drive older gms and mod them out where as the older guys drive both newer f150s and the 14' silverados/seiras. South Louisiana is loaded with gm faithfuls so in response to the OP, yeah there's a lot of new gen silverados here. I'm curious to see if people jump on the 15' f150 bandwagon lol.

Anyway, I had already seen a Raptor but it was a 5.4, the salesman said there was a three month wait for the 6.2.

I finally pin down a salesman at the GM dealership and said I could only get their 6.2 if I bought a 2500. They wanted almost 50k for an extended cab 2500 with cloth interior and no options.

I laughed at him and went back to Ted Britt Ford in Chantilly - fully loaded 6.2 Raptor 48k OTD.

There's a reason they went broke.
The 6.2 has never been installed in any three quarter or 1 ton to date. It's a half ton only engine. It came in the Denali and Escalade only in 07 and 08. Loaded crew cab models could get it in 09 ( so slt and ltz only). Then in 2010 through 2013 you could get it in any lt/ltz or sle/slt extended or crew cab truck.... 2wd or 4x4. Now for 14 the new L86 direct injected 6.2 is back only in the loaded models again.

Three quarter and 1 ton since 2007 have had only one gutless gas engine option... the 6 liter. The rectangular port head equipped ones are useless compared to the cathedral port LQ4 they replaced. It's either an LY6 or L96... one isn't flex fuel and the other is.... and that covers right through from 2007 to current.

I ordered a 2010 6.2 powered slt extended cab 4x4 half ton in 2009 with the max trailer package and 373 ' s. It impressed me so much when it showed up I told them to keep it and shove it up their @$$.

No , I stated exactly what I meant.
The link you provided shows conglomerate sales totals.

Ford is viewed as a Brand, as well as a conglomerate (Ford & Lincoln)
GM is not a brand, it's a conglomerate of 4 vehicle brands. (Chevy, Buick, Cadillac, GMC)

Ford is Ford motor co's anchor brand.
Chevy is General Motor's anchor brand.

Ford outsells Chevy. Period.
GM needs 4 brands to outsell Ford's total sales.

Lincoln is really a joke in terms of sales for Ford Motor Co.
So we can all agree Cadillac & Buick outsell Lincoln by a good margin.

True.

GM uses 2 truck brands to outsell Ford's single brand in half ton's, correct.

I'm just relaying what the salesman told me. I wanted to see what 'package' if you will - that I was able to get around a similar displacement engine. GM dealer not only lied (apparently), but aimed way to low at too high a price point. For what they were asking I got a fully loaded Raptor.

Game, set, match - Ford.

Default GM Is Dead

I wouldn't buy any GM product today knowing what I know about the company's greed and unethical behavior. Come on......they haven't even learned their lesson from the Corviar scandal back in the 70s. I hope Obama's Justice Department is gonna prosecute the people responsible for the cover up with the key switches that killed people. From what I've read, they tried to fix the problem while vehicles were still in production but didn't change the part number so they couldn't identify the bad switches once the vehicles were in service. For that reason alone, I wouldn't have one in my driveway.

They have recalled 13.8 million vehicles so far this year, more than they've sold in the past 5 years. It blows past the previous annual recall record of 10.75 million vehicles, set in 2004. Really? check it out at:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/0...n_5367478.html

Ford is spending allot of money re-tooling their factor for the aluminum body trucks and they've done a great job with design of the Eco-Boost engines. I hope these engines will past the test of time. Allot stuff spinnin around and allot of air and fuel movin through the engine. They have 126 patents pending on the software that manages the engine and power train. And they didn't need a taxpayer bail out after the recession. In my opinion we should have let GM go broke and saved allot of lives.

I'm a FORD man and always will be.

Seems as if in Western PA that Chevy dealers are willing to negotiate on price more than Ford dealers. The GMC is a nice looking truck but the 3.08 rear gear kills it.

It must depend on location. I tried 2 GM dealerships, just to see what kind of deal I could get, and I got all SORTS of explanations as to why. This was in the middle of November, mind you, when they're usually begging people to buy trucks.

With Ford, I found the truck I wanted, found the absolute lowest price, and called the local dealership and said "So-and-so has this truck for this price." The local dealership said "We'll match any deal."

And they did. I walked in around 2 p.m. and left around 6 p.m. They not only cleaned my new truck, gassed it up, etc., but helped me transfer the stuff to the new truck from my 4Runner, watched my son while we did all that, etc.

I'm not brand loyal; I AM customer service loyal.
