i am thinking of puting ceramic pads on my 2006 f150 supercrew. good or bad idea?

Go for it. Ceramics are nice, fairly cheap, and quiet. The only down side, if it matters to you, is you'll notice more brake dust if you keep the truck/wheels clean.

Better life, better stopping power, and I thought that brake dust was virtually eliminated when you used ceramic pads.
