I was on my way to get the truck washed and just as soon as I was ready to put it into park in the automatic wash bay, I had no throttle, the tach didn't register, and the display said Low Oil Pressure. I turned the truck off then restarted it without issue.

It appears to be a fluke but if it were to shut down where I was, it would have been a nightmare to deal with.

Oil life shows 68%, gauge reads fine, and only 2600 miles on truck. Not sure if anyone else has had this happen?

Not me. I have a 3.7 and just found out the oil pressure gauges we have are not real gauges....just show you have some pressure above a minimum point....about 6 psi.
Think I would pass by the dealer's and talk with them and ask for input there also.

Here is some good advice that has worked for me.

Have a camera with you always, phone, digital, etc. One that will take a clear picture of your dash and the warning lights.

Take the picture before you restart. Print it out and show it to the dealer and have him explain it.

Save the pic and all paperwork.

I keep my old, working digital camera in the truck 24/7.

So I talked to a few dealers and the consensus was that the oil pressure sending unit sensor got some moisture on it causing the engine to think there was a malfunction. This occurred right after I entered the wash bay and the underbody wash is the first part of the wash…so this does seem plausible. I was going to take a video of the dash but I was more concerned with getting the truck moved forward (half the truck was sticking out the bay with an automatic door looming overhead).

I had the same thing happen to my '14 5.0. Engine just shut down, & I also saw "low oil pressure" on the display. Good thing I wasn't on a busy road. Engine started right up, & there hasn't been a problem since. But now I'm always thinking this could happen again & on a busy road. Hopefully it was just a "burp" in the system.

if the engine shuts down you will have low oil pressure. oil pressure may have had nothing to do with the problem

Guy in the link above had the exact same thing happen, makes me think it had something to do with the carwash.

Thanks for the link AK49FordTruck. It appears the 6.2 might be vulnerable with the location of a sensor, as the OP in the link is describing the exact same experience as I had.

Lol. Yea, non-running motors tend to not run an oil pump. So it isn't just low, it's zero! Scary!
