Default Louder exhaust

I recently had dual exhaust installed on my 05 fx4 with a 5.4. The exhaust sounds good, but I feel like I'd like it a bit louder. I was informed that if I cut out the rear two converters it willl sound much louder. I was wondering if anyone has done this, and if they have, does it go from kind of loud to too loud?
Also, if I do cut the converters out will I have trouble getting inspection stickers in New Hampshire? Thanks for any help

My truck only came with 2 converters (the front Two). I wouldn't see why it would be a problem. Did you put a muffler in? What kind? need more info about your exhaust system.

Cut my rear cats out, no mufflers. Sounds loud but not too loud. When I get on it, it sounds a little nasty IMO, but a cheap way to get some pop.

I don't have to take the emmision test.

Be sure to keep your cats if you do it.

If you're going to be working on the exhaust and you get rid of the cats, I would put a couple resonators in there. Maybe its just me, and Im brand new to the ford scene, but my buddy recently did something similar, and it sounded somewhat raspy and crackly to me. I personally prefer a nice and smooth, yet deep and loud rumble.

I've found that the best way to find what you like is to just experiment.
