Hey guys, i need some help. I am looking for a Black FX4 appearance Package SCREW. I am trying to decide between used or new. I want as the oldest a 2013 because I want the HID's. There arent many of these out there for sale, so im having some trouble finding a used. The ones i am finding are all right around 40k. Should I expect to find big rebates soon and just get a new 14' or continue looking for a used one? Advice please

i dont know where you are located but the dealership i bought my fx4 from had a black one with the app. pkg. and they were well under invoice for it on a 2014 (very very low 40's, like 41 ish was the price i saw) 5.0.

I'm in Tennessee. Yeah it sorta looks like im gonna be better off witha new one. Is there going to be big rebates?

i was not seeing big rebates, the dealership was just willing to make a deal to get vehicles moved. I also bought mine on the 30th of october, so you can usually always get a better deal near the end of the month.

you can always drive in and get it!! (I love the drive from Texas to eastern Tn)

Im think when the 15's hit the lot, the 14's will be reduced in some manner.

Well I bought my 2013 in Dec 2013 on year end clearance for $39,000 after $10,000 in discounts. Mind you, I didn't get the HID's either.....or many other extra's that I didn't need. (sunroof, booty warmers, etc)

So that's about what you will buy a 2014 for if you find one with minimal options on an appearance package. Buying used makes no sense when you can pick up a new one for nearly the same price unmolested. Sometimes you will have to shop online yourself and have a dealer bring the car to you, or you go to that dealer.......

I drove an hour away 3 days before Christmas to get mine, and I'm in the Chicago area.
I went on Cars.com and found one within 500 miles, and then I used TrueCar to price it out and send the offer to the dealer. So yeah, it's too soon maybe to see the BIG BIG discounts if 2015's haven't hit the dealer lots yet......

Update: I have located a truck that is exactly what I want. It has a few more miles than I was wanting (45k) and the asking price is 34700. Is this a good enough deal to pull the trigger on or should I wait to see the December rebates? Opinions?

it depends on what you want to spend? I bought my 2013 FX4 ecoboost w/ appearance package for $41k OTD. MSRP on my truck was $52100. I had $6k cash and $6k in trade so I financed $29k OTD. this was in December 2013 with plenty of 2014's on the lot but only about 3 2013's left.

I think once the 2015's hit the lot, the 2014's will discounted heavily. No word on WHEN they will though so that's the issue. I believe it will be any day now.

2015's aren't in dealerships yet.
Usually year end clearance massive rebates hit end of the year.
