I did purchase a Jet plugin chip, I planed to install both at the same time to see how much gain of anything, I would get, gas mileage or power.

Beer, Boats, and Trucks.
Not sure what tick you're talking about, but the idle sound with the intake has a little more depth to it then without the intake.

I am listening to all the guys, I purchased the chip about two weeks ago. The thing is I wanted to go with 37 inch tires and try to get some power back. I have a 24ft. pontoon boat I need to tow in the summer. I know I can change the gearing, but that a lot of $$$$'s. This is my first F150 and I'm just trying to get the best out of it for a minimal amount of money, but it doesn't look like I'm going to get what I want without spending a whole lot of money.
Believe me I appreciate everyone's input.

I spent $125 on a used Edge Evolution......plugged it in to my truck before I paid to make sure is was unlocked. Then I upgraded it to a Gryphon. There are always deals for them used on this forum. Oh and I also have a 28' Pontoon and a 31' TT. They pull with ease.

The very first upgrade I did to my 07' was put in a Roush CAI. It gave my truck a deeper tone, especially under accelleration. I also have a dual catback exhaust that kinda overpowered the CAI sound. And on the subject of the tuner, I have the edge evolution cts 2. It's pretty awesome. I run it on "Extreme" and I really notice the difference. I also am averaging 21 mpg right now and I just went on a short road trip with it over the weekend. Well worth the money and all accounts.
