Limited slip and locking rear axle

Limited slip will allow a difference in wheel speeds side to side while turning . A locking will never allow a difference in speeds side to side, making turning very difficult.

Yup. Don't lock your diff and take a joy ride across America. You'll make most of the trip in a tow truck. Limited Slip will put power to the wheel spinning the fastest, whereas locking locks both wheels together to turn at the same speed. As quoted above, try to turn to much or too fast and your diff is toasty.

front diff is "open" 100% power goes to the wheel that spins the easiest (ex: a wheel in the air and one on the ground - wheel in the air spins.) totally useless....i changed mine out for an electronic locking diff in the front as well.
awd is different, you basically have a third transfer case that allows you to drive in "4x4" all the time

What did it take for you to swap to a locking front diff?
