Default limited slip?

over the holidays i did alot of hunting. only once did i find myself in a bind where i needed both back wheels turning. what im getting at is im pretty sure it is limited slip, is there any way to cheat the limited slip to get just a little more out of it? i know with some old trucks u could partially press the e-brake and you could get them both to turn. i was basically just on top of the ground and i managed to get out but that was after i slung mud all over my truck. I hope this was clear enough. any suggestions? thanks guys

Same thing, a little Ebrake or foot brake will fool the LS into thinking it has more traction on the slipping tire and it will apply more power to the traction tire.

I would recommend the e-brake because when you use the brake pedal you are adding resistance to the front wheels.

They are called cutting brakes.
Alot of rock crawlers use them so they can lock up a tire and pivot on it to turn tighter. Crawlers dont need cutting brakes for traction because they generally have lockers.

Keep in mind that when using the E brake to get your LS going isnt going to make a BIG difference. Itll just help a little and it probably wont do anything to get more traction in mud, where it helps the most is if you have a tire off the ground.

hmm, im really glad that i found this thread.

i had a $40k see-saw the first night i bought my truck because i thought it was bigger than it really was. the two wheels in the air spun like it was their job, while the other two mashed in the ground stood still... 5 hrs later i was pulled out. this would have been nice to know about...

thanks!
