Lifetime Warranty
Please advise. Has anyone used Warranty Solutions in Lakewood CO? I bought a 09 STX Reg cab 4x4 a couple weeks ago from a very reliable local used car dealer. I bought a lifetime warranty from them that says maintenance is my responsibility and certain mods will void it. This is through Wells Fargo as is my loan. I have done some research and found a little info. A friend just spent 1800.00 on something to do with a cam tensioner? (These new engine are still new to me) Between that and me not being able to work on this like I did my 96 model I went ahead and bought it. (2999.00) I have a total of 60 days to cancel. I would like to think that they would not push this if it were not reliable. Again it is lifetime not limited time or mileage, just have to keep up with my maintenance.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts

Yea I never have either but with all this new tech stuff. I was just unsure knowing I can't even find the plugs on this thing (4.6) where I used to do plugs wires water pumps.

Somethin' Bout a Truck...
I'd cancel it and put the cash in the bank for worst case scenario. Not sure how many miles are on your truck but these trucks are pretty reliable and still fairly straightforward to work on.

Absolutely this^
3rd party warranties are more headache than there worth, I worked as a dealer tech for 11 years and personally witnessed those type warranties either don't pay out, or take weeks to get approved all the while the customer is left to walk or other transport means.
Bad mojo, cancel and put your money in an interest bearing account or cd.

I bought a 3rd party warranty from USAA last month for my daughters 2013 Nissan as it was approaching 30k. As she is in college away from home. She called me the other day, dad I got a flat what do I do. The warranty has road side assistance she called the number and was back on the road in 50 min. They even texted her asked if she was safe and if she felt unsafe to call 911. So far I feel good about it.

Road side assistance for a flat tire is entirely different than them replacing an a/c compressor, or transmission.
