Hello. I have just signed up on the forum, so this is my first post. I have a 2005 FX4 that I want to lift. I thought I wanted a body lift, but now I'm thinking that I want to get some ground clearance. My dad and I have the mechanical ability but we're new to suspension work of this type. When looking at lift kits, we are seeing everything from kits with shocks and a handful of parts for about $550 to kits with, what seems to be an extensive amount of parts, for as much as $2500. Of course I want to save money, but I want to make sure I get everything I need to do this right. Any help to get our mind in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
