Default Tow capacity of 13 f150 xlt supercrew

I have been doing some research and can't find the answer I need perhaps I can find help here. I currently own a 13 f150 xlt supercrew 3.5 ecoboost. Ia ??would like to add a gooseneck hitch and tow my wifes horse trailer with it but not sure if the truck will handle it. Its an aluminum trailer and weighs 4800 lbs. with no load. My first problems is I don't know if this truck has a tow package. I ran the vin and nothing specifically says tow package. I have a tow/haul button, transmission temp gauge and trailer sway bar, does that mean I have a tow package?

Not sure what you mean by trailer sway bar? What rear end gear do you have? How much will the trailer weigh loaded? I doubt you will be over your tow rating, but with a gooseneck your limiting factor will probably be payload

Tow capacity will be in the 9500+ range. You should be able to tow that trailer without issue. Look on the dash and see if the brake controller is already installed(it will be a switch above your right knee with a _ and + on it)if you don't have one you can get one added at a trailer shop or U Haul.

It's all about the payload capacity of your truck as mentioned above.

I have no idea what a trailer sway bar is but the vin decoder says I have one no brake module installed but I can wire it. If I'm sure the truck will handle it I'll install one. Gonna have to check the rear ratio. I just don't want to spend the money on the equipment if the truck won't pull it safely

OK, I went to the local ford dealer. The truck does not have a tow package.
The trailer is all aluminum with living quarters in the front and gooseneck.
The manufacturer says the trailer weighed in at 4100 lbs. before the living quarters upgrade and that adds roughly 750 lbs to the total. So I'm talking about 4850 lbs unloaded and about 6100 to 6300 loaded. My rear axle ratio is 3.31. I will probably add air bags to the rear for load and stability and a tranny cooler along with a brake module of course. The max gooseneck weight is 7200. I should add that she takes it mostly local with occasional trips of 120 miles or so.

Good Lord....how much is the pin weight. It's not all about the trailer weight.

So I kept an eye out for gooseneck horse trailers while I was out on the road today. My observation is that it looks like the trailer axles are way back. I wouldn't be surprised if you were carrying 40 percent of the trailer weight on the bed of the truck
