I would do the same thing to a platinum or on the chrome pieces it does have I would matte clear them to match the brushed look of the grille and tailgate.

Default dipped my platinum tailgate panel

Decided to dip the tailgate panel on my Platinum... Not 100% sold on it, but at least I know it's not permanent if I change my mind. Went ahead and did the emblems as well, but not the blue oval.

When y'all are doing the Ford ovals, are you running a razor around the lettering and that chrome oval surrounding the lettering as you go along (like after every coat)? Or just once after the last coat?

I think I went a little too thick and had some running in the seams.

Bumper was chrome, lower panels were silver. Tried to hide rust
