Check out this thread I did on the Rustoleum equivalent of Plasti-dip, its called "Peel Coat". I was unsure of the peeling properties, so I sprayed it over a base of plastidip. It has a semi-gloss sheen and is much smoother than plastidip. It lays 100 times better than dip as well (I used a nozzle/tip from a plastidip can as I read the Rustoleum nozzle isnt as good). Also I used Turtle Wax Ice spray wax as a cleaner/protectant and it does a great job as well.

I just started having some fun with this stuff. I like it so far. Rims, tail gate platinum, badges, partial grill and partial front bumper.

You really went nuts on tape. Could have consolidated that and shaved down some prep time. Save old news papers/ads and use those with less tape. Also remember that you plastidip's pealability to your advantage depending on the areas. Overspray is super easy to wipe off.
