Lets see those plasti-dip projects

I just did my rims on the truck but I would recommend doing them off. I believe it would be easier to have them laying flat where you can control the spray and see better in between the spokes. Mine look decent but some areas have a rough texture look.

Don't start to peel the lettering too soon or the plastidip is like tar...makes a mess and you have to start over.

Just ordered a 6 pack of dip from amazon. Gonna do my rims, then the chrome on my grill. If it works well enough, ill go ahead and get another 6 pack to do my bumpers. Anything chrome must go. Haha.

@lifted03 - I sprayed the entire emblem with black pastidip, 4-5 coats. After the last coat, I let it dry for 10 minutes or so (enough that I could handle it without messing it all up). Then I used a toothpick to start picking the plastidip from the FORD lettering. If you're emblem is the same as mine, there's enough of a gap between the chrome and blue that the plastidip breaks along the gap. I didn't tape anything or use a razor blade. Would be the same process for the chrome ring.

Right now its just all sprayed black. The letters are raised up, but i feel like ill get the same results as with the blade, if i try to pick the plastic from the letters.

I just dipped my grill, bumpers, and emblems sunday and only used 4 1/2 cans for 6 layers on everything. Going to use the other can and a half to finish door handles. Not sure if I'm going to dip the rims yet or not
