Did this a few weeks ago.

Got tired of the stock piping on my exhaust so I pulled out the PD. Used a 3in 3.5out Gibson powder coated black tip.

Cut 8 inches off the pipe, bolted the tip on, and pd'd the piping and the spare tire heat shield. Looks MUCH better.

So far perfectly. iirc PD is rated at like -30 -> 300* as a limit.

Cool, I want to change my exhaust, as I have dual exits out the rear and do not like the look. I prefer a side exit, as I tow a 28' pontoon and a 31' Aerolite. May have to get the exhaust re-routed and would like it black and not chrome.

Today I started playing with plastidip, and am pleasantly surprised with its ease of use. Here is the stock truck.

I guess I will find out how it holds up on the tip.

I know my truck is dirty, my grammar isn't perfect, neither is my spelling, and this was my first time ever using plastidip...

Thanks for the compliment! It was very tedious! About 20 mins after the last coat I started peeling everything away. I used a toothpick for pulling the plastidip off the Ford lettering. It comes off pretty clean if your careful.

P.s. I bought all my supplies at Walmart spur of the moment. I am trying to get more cans and finishers to experiment with.
