Default LED light bulbs

I installed a set of Cree LED light bulbs into stock headlight assembly. The lights shine almost straight down reflecting off the inside top or roof of the housing. They don't seem to catch enough of the inside deflector to project forward. The lights are very bright and work well only when I have the brights on. Any ideas on what I should do.

Go back to factory halogens...

The technology for aftermarket LED headlights just isn't up to par with HIDs or halogens...

^^^ bam! What he said. It's ashame the technology that they have for LED lights for everything else but headlights but I'm sure it's coming in the very near future

The technology is there, it's just slow to trickle down into the aftermarket. Like most new tech, it starts in the high-end new cars and then bleeds out into downmarket cars and then aftermarket. I'd hesitate to get anything right now that isn't from a reputable outfit.

LED headlights will work great I think - with the correct setup. Very low power draw, last pretty much forever, and with the right focus and housing design are just as good as anything.

I'm just going to leave this here for others to actually see what they think.

Retrofit if you want the best lighting. I just picked a set up that I'll be putting in this weekend.

I got Samsung bulbs from Ebay. Samsungs are supposed to have the highest lumen rating.
