Leather hides for seat covers
The leather seats in my 95 F150 shows the wear and tare of their years of use. I have been looking at OEM seat covers and they are not cheap. One thing you can do if the covers presently on your seats are reasonably intact you can carefully cut the sticking and what you are left with is a perfect pattern to cut out of a new skin. By doing this you can really save a bunch of money. It is not hard to hand stitch leather if you have the proper leather tools to do it with, it just takes more time. Second only to fleece on lambskin seat covers in comfort is suede leather. this outfit has really good prices on full hide in a bunch of different colors. http://www.weleather.com/catalog/
I am looking at other sites but this one is the best so far.
For those of you with the ambition you can make a fairly good part time money doing this for others.
I have a long time friend here in Cheyenne who does this kind of work he only does seats for horse drawn wagons being restored, there is not many people doing this so he always has work.
