Default KC light HELP!

i'm getting some KC 35 series lights, the light kit comes with a switch that i don't want to use. The KC switch has 3 connectors for ground, load, and supply. I got another switch that is 2 way and only has 2 connectors (rated for 10A at 250VAC) will this switch that i bought work?

I can get the the same switch but in a 3 way (12v DC 25A) will this one work better than the other one i bought?

Oh yea i searched and couldn't find anything.

if the KC switch has a 3rd connector it probably has an LED that lights up on it. the switch you bought is for AC current. buy the 12V DC 25A switch. all vehicles run off a DC current

Ding ding ding we got a winner. I just took the other switches back and bought one very similar to the ones you posted. And i want to keep my interior looking as factory as possible and the one from KC won't keep the look i want.

Heres the one i bought, i plan on putting a switch on each side of the cigarette lighter on the panel.

haha good point. i just figured KC being a big company they would provide some nice switches like hella does. Hella provides a switch similar to the one you posted.

is that a doorman switch? these are the exact ones i have (4 total) for all my lights. they really nice. i would advise against getting the BLUE led switch though. it is extremely bright, i had to put some tape over the LED. its a distraction when driving.

x2, the blue is very bright and can be annoying. The red is easier on the eyes. I don't know brand names, but I've always used that style switch from Pep Boys/Auto Zone.

I got the red ones, the truck gauge cluster is green and red so blue would look odd.

Why don't you wire it into your high beams or your fogs? That way it stays a factory look. If you hook them to your high beams you can have easy quick access to them and keep the law happy.
