Shameless plug incoming!
I'm a software engineer that works for a small software company in Nebraska, and we've put together a free iOS app called FuelCog.

Everyone wants to know the cheapest way to fill up their truck, and this app will tell you which grade of fuel is your best buy.
We all know that ethanol fuels contain less energy that straight gasoline fuels. But, they're cheaper, right? Does a cheaper price at the pump really equate to money saved? It's your best guess. But, this app will tell you exactly what grade of fuel is the best buy for your vehicle.
There's a bunch of math behind the scenes that calculates energy availability on the fuel grades, rather than just a flat $/gallon cost.
Anyway, it's free, so why not, right?
I'm not directly involved in the development of this app, but I have used it, and it works. An Android version is being worked on, and a Windows Phone version is in the works as well (for the three of you that use Windows Phone
).
