Sounds like a good deal, gotta ask though, why did you buy a CAI when your truck came with one from the factory that pulls air in from the fender? All those aftermarket CAI's do is allow under hood ambient heat to be sucked in essentially making them a HAI. If you did it for the extra intake noise then I understand.

That's kewl, I took the baffles out of the intake on my 97 SHO, the way that engine growled was intoxicating LOL. But yeah those things are purely ear candy and will hurt performance. So if performance isn't your thing go for it, just wanted to give you all the 411.

It will be the first one I have lost power with. Coming from the drag racing field, I have never lost power across the power band from an intake. And yes, we tested on the dyno. :-)

Most cold air kits still pull air from the fender. When you open the hood you may see the element, but the surround will seal on the hood with a gasket.

I had a Volant Ram Air setup on the Titan, and it ran pretty hard. In the summer i would keep the box lid on....Winter pull it off. But i had headers, 3"exhaust, throttlebody, etc.. It definitely increased HP. But from what I understand Fords intake /fender setup is pretty well maximized. No need. I just went with a Dryflow drop in with my 14 F150....it works great!
