Idling issue😕
Hey guys Jamie here I have a 97 f-150 with over 240000 miles. My question is this when I stop at a red light or just in general my truck acts like it wants to almost die but drives fine. I cleaned the throttle body, erg valve, and checked the mass air flow censor. Anything I'm missing because I'm lost lol. Thanks

If that were the case they would have performance issues in all modes of operation, not just at idle.
I also think the Idle Air Control solenoid is the most probable cause. We went thru those things on a daily basis at the dealer I worked at.
Of course there is also a good chance there are vacuum leaks after the MAF sensor and/or egr malfunctions. Impossible to say with out putting diag equipment on the vehicle.

[QUOTE=Summers22;4429014]Did you clean the IAC? When was the last time the fuel filter or plugs were changed?[/QUOTE.
I cleaned the IAC and replaced the throttle position senser. Will the intake air temperature sensor cause it to not idle good you think.
