Default I went pickup shopping today.....

with a guy from work. He is the one looking to buy and is a hardcore Chevy fan. He is looking for a 2007 or newer truck and I tried to get him to look at the Fords, but no luck. One lot we were on had a used Toyota, and he said he liked the way they looked. I invited him to take a close look at the frame in the rear tire area and showed him how flimsy it looked. He is still stuck on the Chevy, but at least the Toyota is out of the question!

Too bad you can't find a dealer that would let him take a Ford home for a day

Chevy > Toyota, at least he knows that. I looked at both Chevy & Ford (but was biased since I had a ranger). The interior on the chevy was just too bland. Take a laptop and give him a side by side comparison

The second truck he drove was a 2007 Chevy crew with around 23000 miles on it. We were pulling out of the lot and I pointed out to him that the ash tray looked wrong. I tried to shut it properly and it almost fell out!

Most Chevy owners will not look at a Ford seriously..

I love Chevy and Ford. But the Ford won my heart.

Very stubborn. I have an ex-coworker that has been in the market for a new car for his wife, and I keep trying to get him to come over and see what we have for used, but he wont even come by the store cuz its a ford store. I think theyre just scared they might actually like Ford. The sad thing about this guy I know, is his wife currently owns a 94 thunderbird, and has no complaints, other than shes hit about 3 deer and semi with it in the last few years. Its still runnin strong though. I think Im gonna call him, just to tell him about all the saftey features ford offers.
Has anyone ever asked a chevy guru what he/she has against ford?!

I'm on my 2nd F150, and very happy with it. Before that I had an '02 Silverado, and I have to say it was a very nice truck; smooth, comfortable and quiet. For real light-duty I still think it's a reasonable choice.

I had a 1999 1500 and boy did I have problems with that thing, even way before hitting the 100,000 mile mark. I am so glad I got rid of it and got myself the Screw!
